YAMAHA XSR 700

Meet AYA, my 2018 Yamaha XSR 700. At this point, it’s the first and only bike I own. The bike combines retro styling with modern performance, featuring one of the best engines in its class—a 689cc parallel-twin engine that delivers smooth power and torque. It’s a lightweight, agile, and very reliable bike.

Even with its small tank, bad suspension, and limited ground clearance, I’ve ridden this bike on almost every terrain. Don’t get me wrong, the XSR 700 is a pure street bike, and something like the Yamaha Tenere 700 would be the perfect bike for me at this point, but I am always amazed at how versatile this bike is. It has never let me down in any situation. I will never sell it, and it will always have a place in my small garage.

It is also very easy to customize with lots of aftermarket parts. That is one of the reasons I bought it—so I could make it different and unique. Over the years, I’ve added lots of parts, but the bike is still a “work in progress.” You can find a list of the parts on the bike here.

Traveling on Yamaha XSR 700

It is definitely not the most comfortable bike for longer trips, but it is always fun to ride. With almost 40,000 km across different terrains and weather conditions, this bike just keeps going.
